Sushi shack is a new spot that just opened up on the very busy Las Olas Blvd strip. Las Olas Blvd is known for many restaurants opening and closing very often due to the hustle and bustle of the strip. Sushi shack is most definitely a spot that's here to stay.
From the ambience of the restaurant to the delightful team members to the endless list of foods to make your mouth water there truly isn't any reason to dislike SS.
I visited on multiple occasions but what rly sat well with me was during my first visit the service was impeccable. We made a reservation as we've noticed many times that it's been busy as we drove by and we were glad we didn't make the mistake of just deciding to walk in. We were immediately seated upon arrival and then given our menus and waters for the table promptly. We read over the menu for a few minutes and couldn't decide! There were so many delicious options awaiting our choice.
We settled on a few different rolls and miso soups as well as crispy tuna rice for an appetizer. Everything came out really quickly. The cocktails were just as delicious as the foods and all of the ingredients were noticeably fresh unlike most places that use frozen fruits as garnish.
We finished up our dinner and didn't notice a dessert menu so of course we had to ask. We got three different flavors of mochi and were still craving more. After grabbing the bill we knew that we would frequently visit this restaurant in the future. -

I am always on the good hunt for a good happy hour. And if it's on the weekend, you best believe I'm trying it out.
Where can you get legit $8 rolls at 5 pm on a Saturday in las olas?
The service was fantastic. Our waitress had great recommendations and was really sweet.
We got a ton of food (too much honestly but at the prices they had it was too good to pass up!)
Favorites were the sushi and wings.
Edamame was meh. All in all, great spot. Will be back! -

Great location on the east side of Las Olas, so you can't miss it. I've run by here about 100X's and figured it was my turn to check out Sushi Shack. I've noticed since Sushi Shack opened, the crowds are very slim. There is seating outside which can make for a comfy romantic date location. We were seated right away on the inside but then waited over 10 min. to get drinks and water. We had to flag the server down to put in our order since it was already getting late and our glasses of wine were empty. I ordered sushi of course and my GF ordered the Ramon noodles. The noodles were delicious, and the sushi was okay. It didn't blow my mind away especially for the price.
After waiting 30 min. to get the check, I had to go to the bar to pay the bill. We could have easily left, and nobody would have noticed. As I approached the bar, I noticed the waitress flirting with a cook and texting... no wonder we were left out to dry. The manager offered to comp our meal next time, which was nice, but we declined as there are many other options in the area.

This is a great location however the service was not great! I asked the server what she recommended and she had no clue what was even on the menu. When I finally decided the sushi was so dry and I couldn't even finish it. When she brought our bill she said "oh you didn't like it i see? Yea that sushi isn't that good!" *insert my side eye* why would you tell me this after you bring me my bill. Needless to say I won't be back but it does have great ambiance!

Recently came here for one of their new sushi making classes that they're offering and had so much fun. It included starting with several dishes that we shared family style (edamame hummus, 2 sushi rolls, bibimbap and japchae) all really good! Afterwards we were shown how to make a roll (our choice between 4 options) and a hand roll. Overall I had such an enjoyable time and truly enjoyed the food. I was impressed with some of the dishes we tried as they told us they were featured on their happy hour menu. For example the yummy roll is only $7 during Happy Hour which I think is a great deal! Definitely plan on returning.
